Glenn and the team headed down the road to Smithton, Pa on Friday to take the green flag in the Nascar Whelen Series where they were set to run their weekly Heat race and 40 Lap Feature.

The field of Late Models on hand was 19 strong and Glenn set out in the 3rd of 3 Heat Races from the outside pole.  On lap one he jumped out to take the lead and by lap 3 was pulling away.  The heat race was 10 laps for the scheduled length but the lead that Glenn so quickly built up  began to slip away in the closing laps. He gave way to second on lap 7 and held on there through the checkered flag.  Glenn reported that the car was feeling a bit loose off of turn 4 and and was having trouble turning through the center.  The team went to work on some adjustments.

Glenn started the Feature race from the 6th position in the 19 car field and started working towards the front in the 4th and 5th positions between laps 2 and 9. Unfortuately the first caution flag of the night was involving Glenn when a hard charging #60  got into the back on the driver side rear of the #32 sending Glenn spinning in front of the oncoming field.  Glenn did a great job of  trying to control the disaster that was unfolding.   Caution flag waved and Glenn pulled the car into the pit area.  The decision was made to pull out of the race for the night.

Glenn and the team were really disappointed to have made gains on the car and not had a chance to see their results. They will take the car back, go to work, and you all know they will be back on track soon.   See them next at Lake Erie Speedway Saturday June 7, 2008.

Glenn and the team shook the dust cover off the #32 Snow King/Gault Heating and Cooling Ford Fusion and headed up the road to Lake Erie Speedway  to take the first Green Flag of the season on Saturday night in the NASCAR Whelen Late Model Division of racing.

The Speedway held 3 heat races and one feature and Glenn took the track in the third heat race with ten laps as the scheduled distance in a ten car field from the 4th position. Glenn started off smooth and easy to take 3rd place by lap 3.  On lap 8 took over 2nd and maintained through the checkered. Glenn noted that the car had loosened up some from practice to the heat race and so  some changes would need to be made before the feature to work on the handling.

Glenn started the feature race 7th in a field of 27 cars.  Caution flew already on lap one but prior to the caution Glenn gain two spots on the track up to 5th.  Back to green flag racing through lap 4 Glenn gained another position up to 4th.  Caution again out on lap 7 and on this restart the field began lining up single file restarts allowing Glenn a good start  took over the third place on lap 9 and the 2nd spot on lap 14 looking toward the leader. Caution was out on lap 16 and it was game on from the green flag restart with the leader #27.  Glenn and the leader put on a racing clinic that had the people in the stands holding their breath and their eyes glued to the track. Glenn just about had the lead when the caution flag again came out on lap 27. Restarted again 2nd on lap 27 and made some more runs on the leader up through the last caution on lap 36. Glenn brought the #32 Snow King/Gault Heating and Cooling Ford Fusion home in 2nd.

It was a strong start to the racing season for Glenn and the team and they hope to continue that momentum when they pull into Motordrome on Friday.
